I feel like I was right there with the two of you - a fly on the wall - during your conversation. The bold, non-italicized writing helped draw me in even more. While a woman feels the need to report what she had for lunch that day, a man wouldn't think twice about telling a soul about getting his butt whooped by a goose. (haha, fine. mild exageration, but it brings the point home.) This is hilarious. You really captured your husband's character through his cavalier attitude and dialogue. Love it.
