Dear Friends and Fellow Bloggers,
Please accept my sincere apologies for what is about to be the "worst blog ever!"
Hopefully, since I warned you ahead of time, you have chosen not to read this, but we all know about human nature. I mean, let's be honest, if someone told me not to read something, I probably wouldn't listen....
So, if you ended up here by mistake, you may wish to reconsider, as you'll find no wit, humor or inspiration. In fact, I you'll find nothing at all! ( Between you and me, the only reason I'm writing at all is because I am expected to write daily as part of the SOL challenge, but shhhh.....don't tell anyone).
For those of you who decided to suffer through the worst blog ever, I've carefully compiled a list of lame excuses to alleviate some of my guilt.......
1. I didn't prepare ahead of time
2. I have company coming over and have a million things to do before they get here
3. I have to take a shower
4. The dog at my computer mouse
Three out of four of my lame excuses are absolutely true, the other was my single attempt at humor:-)
Again, fellow slicers, I am sorry and promise to do better tomorrow....
I was intrigued and am heartened to share the struggles of a writer. It happens to us all.
ReplyDeleteYep...I was excited also to read your post and our lives are kind of crazy like this. You turned it around by putting your fingers down. We all have to when we don't want to disappoint ourselves. xo
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has considered this approach!
ReplyDeleteDone, done and done...well done!
ReplyDeleteNo worries! Enjoy your company!
ReplyDeleteI think I found wit, humor, and inspiration in this worst blog ever post. Some days are like that, but then you just go on. Hope you enjoyed your company. I enjoyed the company of your words today (as always).
ReplyDeleteI could not resist reading the worst post ever! It's a great slice and I enjoyed it. My day is going much like yours!
ReplyDeleteI bet you will get lots of comments because out of curiosity we want to know what you DON'T have to say. And really, you said quite a lot...that we can all relate to. There are some days that are too packed with activity and the blogging must takes a back seat. Thanks for giving us all permission to do so. I felt the same way this morning... but cheated...or kind of...put lots of pictures. Again...thanks. Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThe important thing is that you wrote today! I'm finding that it might take a lot of coaxing, but once I sit down I can generally come up with something. I like your clever idea- I often suggest that my students write about "nothing" when they can't think of anything to write.
ReplyDeleteStop it. :) You're hilarious... and it's more than probable I will be stealing this idea towards the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteHilarious! I know you feel this wasn't a great post, but your title sucked me right in. Plus, we all know how this feels! Hope you had fun with your company!
ReplyDeleteYes, I wanted to hear why your blog was the worst. Silly, silly, silly. You are funny and witty. The only blog that is bad, is the one that was never started. Blog away. You are funny. Did you know that?
