I am Hope
Dazzling, golden, sunlight personified
Elusively I float, a butterfly
Poetry with wings,
Fluttering ahead, beyond human reach
I encourage, I promise, I sooth aching hearts
A foundation of comfort,I never abandon
A friend to all souls who have lost their way.
I am here.
I am hope.
Hope. With hope all things seem possible. My life verse is all about hope. Romans 15:13: "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." D :)
ReplyDeletelovely. we all need more hope in our lives. "elusively I float" --absolutely!
ReplyDeleteLove how the poem is formed to resemble the subject. Concrete poetry, yes.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great poem for a Sunday. I have read it several times and find something in it each time that speaks of what we need in this world right now. I have watched the news this morning that is filled with terrible things going on, and then to read this poem about hope - thank you. I needed that.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to copy this poem and post it in my office. I love the imagery...and the message. Thanks so much! Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteA wonderful reflection on hope.
ReplyDeleteProverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

ReplyDeleteHope is what gets us out of bed in the morning. I can't say how much I love this (except I just did). This would make a GREAT poster hung around for peeps to see. They need to see it.
