A little girl broken
A page in her journal
A day in her life
A story to be told
Her attempts to to change
Swept away like petals in the wind
floating in her fantasies
She remained
An over thinking, soul searching, philosophizing fool
Lessons learned
Mistakes repeated
over and over
A hopeful heart to be worn forever on her sleeve
A little girl broken
She couldn't be fixed
No apologies
No right or wrong
created by God
she was always the person
she was meant to be
An overthinking.... that line struck me. It flows off the tongue so easily. This is lovely and heartbreaking and everything I wish I could do as a poet.
